Alex is a British illustrator based in the North West of England.

After university he became a freelance fine artist specialising in fantasy themed acrylic work. Skilled in multiple creative disciplines, Alex later worked in film production which further ignited and broadened his visual skills.

In recent years he traded his paintbrushes for a Wacom Tablet and trained in digital design. He became an advanced user of the 3D sculpting program Zbrush and now incorporates this into his illustrations.

His illustrations are highly detailed and he produces images full of depth and texture, with details going right down to the pores of the skin. He loves to make clever use of dramatic perspective, lighting and shadow to create vivid imagery with a cinematic feel.
