My name is José, I was born and raised in México. Since I was little I enjoyed drawing and creating characters that helped me entertain my sisters. Later, I grew up and studied Advertising in the Escuela de Artes Plásticas (School of Visual Arts in the University of Guadalajara. That guided me to find jobs as a graphic designer and creative director for many agencies here in Guadalajara and in Mexico City.

When my daughter came into my life, the desire of illustrating fantastic worlds also emerged. Maybe that’s why a lot of my artwork has a childish style and my main purpose as an artist is to give a face and a shape to those stories that we all imagined when we were children. For me, a good piece of art can start with nothing more than a pencil, a piece of paper and a great idea but with the proper digital tools, the redrawing of lines and addition of textures, volumes and lighting, it can be enhanced into something truly amazing.
